Fragrance notes can be associated with music. And rightly so, because each fragrance is a composition of notes - usually three: top notes, heart notes and base notes. Together, they create harmony - a chord that resounds fully after applying the fragrance to the skin.

Each of the notes is a different stage of perfume development on the skin - they have different evaporation time, i.e. durability on the skin. That's why perfumes smell different right after spraying them, different after a few minutes, and even different after a few hours of wearing. Smelling a perfume, we feel how it develops gradually from the top note, through the heart note, to the base note. That's why in the perfume industry we represent the notes in the form of a pyramid. What is at its top is the most ephemeral, and what is at the base is the base of the fragrance.
